HOME INDUSTRIES competition entries this year were more numerous than our last show in 2020.
After a show absence of three years, it was wonderful seeing previous exhibitors entering the competitions again and many new exhibitors, some who are new residents in Katikati, supporting Home Industries so enthusiastically. The number of volunteer helpers during the show weekend made lighter work of the setting up and breaking down of the Home Industries. We always welcome new volunteers, even if it is only a few hours that can be given.
Some statistics for Home Industries are:
Number of Contestants (Exhibitors ) – 104
Number of Entries (Exhibits) - 439
It is interesting to note some entry numbers such as 15 entries for Beans; 16 for Dahlia: 18 for Hens’ eggs and 19 Zucchini entries. The baking categories this year saw almost double the entries from the previous show.
