The Katikati A&P Show is a fantastic community-based show that brings the country to town.
Katikati's Agricultural and Pastoral Show has a proud history as a longstanding iconic community event and continues to do what it set out to do over 100 years ago — bring urban and rural people together.
The first Katikati A&P Show was held in 1913 and the 2025 event was the 100th show.

Proud to share.....The Katikati A&P Society is delighted and deeply honoured to have been named the Community Event Award winner at the Western Bay Community Awards, recognising our 100th Katikati A&P Show.
The Western Bay Community Awards celebrate the amazing work of local groups and volunteers across Tauranga and the Western Bay. They acknowledge the incredible community efforts that help make this region one of the greatest places to live, and we are proud to be counted among so many inspiring organisations. Reaching 100 shows was a significant milestone for our Society, and receiving this award is a wonderful acknowledgment of the passion, commitment, and teamwork that went into delivering such a special event. What makes this recognition even more meaningful is that the Show — and the Society itself — is run by a small team of dedicated volunteers who give their time to support local traditions and bring our community together. The Awards are delivered in partnership by TECT, Acorn Foundation, BayTrust, Tauranga City Council, and Western Bay of Plenty District Council, and we sincerely thank them for recognising community events and the people behind them. This award belongs to every volunteer, exhibitor, sponsor, supporter, and attendee who helped make our 100th Show one to remember. We are incredibly proud of what was achieved and grateful for the ongoing support of our community — here’s to the next chapter in the Katikati A&P Society’s story. |
